Session 4

Lunar Mission planning and analysis tool (JMOON)

Date

April 11, 2024

Time

9:00am AWST

Scott Dickenshied

I've been part of the JMARS team at the Mars Space Flight Facility for over 12 years. In that time, I've worked on JMARS planning layers for the THEMIS mission to Mars, the LROC mission to the Moon, and the OSIRIS-REx mission to the asteroid Bennu. In addition, I've been a key part of the effort to make planetary data available in JMARS available freely and easily to the public. As a result, we have provided access to millions of individual images of Mars (Viking, MOC, THEMIS, CTX, CRISM, HiRISE, TES, and more) and provide a single tool that allows visualizing data collected for any major planetary body in the solar system.
